One of the fastest-growing professions in India is Interior Design. The salary of an interior designer ranges from modest for beginners to high for experienced and skilled candidates. The salary at the entry level may be INR 15,000 to 30,000. An experienced person can earn a hefty salary with an average package of INR 1 lakh per month.

The candidate has to select their choice of exam city at the time of filling out the NID DAT 2026 Application form. Note that an exam city may have one or more test centres. The allotment of exam centres will be made considered available seats in respective centres and choice of the candidate.

The admission cut-off for UCEED 2025 will be released on April 21, 2025.
The seat allotment will be released online at the UCEED 2025 - IIT Bombay admission portal uceed.iitb.ac.in.
To download the seat allotment-cum-cutoff, you need to click on the seat allotment download button given under B. Des 1st Round of Seat Allotment heading. Note that no log-in is required to download the seat allotment results pdf.
Candidates who are allotted seats have to accept the seat and pay the fees. Note that candidates were also given the option to withdraw their seats.
The details of NID DAT 2026 Exam centre, including name, address, and reporting time will be notified to the candidate through NID DAT 2026 Admit card. DAT Prelims admit card will be available for download from December 11, 2025.
UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours from 9 am - 12 noon. On the day of exam, candidate needs to report at the exam centre at least 2 hours before exam commences. Candidate will have to report at 7 am. No candidate will be allowed entry inside the exam hall once the exam commences. So, the candidate must be punctual about reaching the UCEED 2026 exam venue.
- Experience: If a person has experience of 2 to 5 years, he is likely to earn an average salary of 35,000 to 60,000. More, the number of experience, more are the chances of him earning as compared to someone with less experience.
- Location: Interior designers based in metro cities have chances of earning more as compared to tier 2 cities because there are more projects and demand. A person based in Bangalore will earn more as compared to someone in a Tier 2 City.
- Skills: An interior designer should have skills like good communication, sketching, problem solving, Sustainability awareness, etc. He should have knowledge of the latest software, like AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc. A person with skills will have more pay and demand in the market.
