Explore and look for other opportunities, work on the weak areas, handle pressure and decide wisely to choose from the options available.
Is your BITSAT score low or below your expectation?
If yes then you might be worried about it and looking for some possible options and choices.
First of all, do not worry much about it. Keep one thing in mind that low score does not define one’s abilities and also, it is also one fact that being worried about would not get admission in the desired college.
Look for other opportunities, instead of getting into depression. Learn from the mistakes made earlier and avoid repeating these in the upcoming exams. Make the most out of this situation.
Before we discuss further, I just want to know what is more important, your desired college or good skills in you? I am sure most of the students would answer good skills.
So, instead of worrying about not getting in the desired college from the BITSAT score, study well for other similar exams and score very well to get admission in other colleges. in my opinion, it’s always better to compromise with college than devoting one more year for the dream college.
Try for admission in other campuses which are accepting BITSAT score. Apart from three campuses of BITS, i.e. Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad, the below mentioned institutes also accepts BITSAT score.
In case one doesn’t want to compromise at all and want to get into their desired field in the three campuses of BITS only, then there is no other option except dropping one more year. For dropping a year, one must keep a few points in mind before making a decision. There would more pressure on the student than the previous time.
In some ways, it would also be a bit risky. So, one should be mentally strong and very well prepared for taking the exam again. Also, they should be confident about handling the pressure of cracking the exam this year with high scores, otherwise, try to go for other exams or institutes.
Many students decide to reattempt the exam and they also succeed in the same. So, there is also nothing wrong with this option, however, one should be focussed while preparing, work patiently on the mistakes and try not to repeat those mistakes in the next attempt.
