I feel so confident and good about myself now: Dheeru Sharma

When I was in 11th grade, I didn't have any idea about B.Tech. I was an average student. I thought of getting my graduation in B.Sc or B.A. After some days, I heard my school friends talking about people who were selected for jobs in Google, Microsoft and some other companies which were big corporate names. My father also used to mention engineering. Then I started understanding about B.Tech and some of my friends decided to do graduation with a B.Tech degree. After that, I got more information about B.Tech and then I thought of two possibilities. One is that I would learn new things regarding science and technology and the second one was that I could get a job after the completion of B.Tech. That's why I chose to pursue engineering. Now, I am pursuing my B.Tech in civil engineering from I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida. I have learned so many things. Now, I am a branch topper and also a class representative.

Before admission, I took coaching classes for preparations of IIT JEE for one year but I didn't qualify the entrance exam. After that, I gave an entrance test and got admission in I.T.S Engineering College. Well, after I secured admission in I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida, I did not try anywhere else. The feel of the college was so amazing. I was so happy to secure admission here.

In free time, I compose paintings. I have some certifications, online and offline.  I am the coordinator of tech fest and placements in my college. After attending my classes, I utilize the rest of the time for reading books. There is a huge library in the basement. I really feel that after coming to college I have changed as a person. I have become stronger-willed and focused. I usually attend classes for all my subjects. But my favorite is particularly Mathematics. If given a chance, I would devote more of my time to painting sessions. It unwinds the mind. 

There is a major change in me as a person. I always wanted to be a clear communicator. But while speaking I always felt the shortage of words. With the guidance of the training team at the college, I was able to overcome this problem of mine. The soft skills trainers at the college have really helped me. They guided me on what to do and how to develop my vocabulary. They have come out with different ways of efficient learning. They have made us speak so many times on the stage and other platforms that the fear of public speaking has completely eliminated.

Now I am an effective public speaker and represent my college in many places. I even host events for my college. I feel so good and confident now.
