MHT CET 2020 postponed; New dates to be announced soon

MHT CET 2020: Maharashtra Government has decided to postpone the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2020, said Minister of Higher and Technical Education Uday Samant on Monday i.e. June 22.
MHT CET 2020 exam dates were announced recently. The exam was scheduled to be conducted on July 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 28, 29, 30, 31, and August 3, 4 and 5, 2020. The new dates for the exam are likely to be announced soon.
State’s Education Minister Uday samant said that the decision has been taken by the Government considering the current situation of COVID-19 as Maharashtra is the worst-affected with COVID-19 having the most number of cases and deaths.
Using his social media account to reveal the Maharashtra Government’s order, Uday Samantwrote: “Maharashtra CET conducts entrance examinations in various vocational subjects related to higher and technical education departments. In view of the increasing prevalence of COVID 19, all these examinations are being postponed in view of the health of the students. New dates will be announced in the future.”
Recently, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra had earlier allowed students to fill the MHT CET 2020 application form online again, made available the correction window and change their district centres.
MHT CET 2020 was to be conducted for admission to various undergraduate course in streams such as Engineering (BE/BTech), Pharmacy (BPharm/PharmD), BSc (Honours) and BTech courses in Agriculture for the academic year 2020-21. The exam was to be held in Maharashtra and other states as well.
