Why I chose my college: Amjad Ali

My journey at ITS Engineering College has been great for I have learnt a lot in a span of 4 years that I spent there. I always wanted to be an engineer, so after I completed Class 12^th, I decided to pursue BTech. Soon, I started searching for a good engineering college and that is when I came to know about ITS Engineering College from one of my father’s friends. He shared good reviews about the college’s infrastructure, crowd, faculty and placements.

Listening to him, I decided to visit the college. As I reached ITS, the college admissions team took me for a tour of the campus. They showed me the COE, labs, classrooms, auditoriums, hostel and mess. I was really impressed with the college’s infrastructure.  The Admission Counsellor also shared the list of core companies and recruiters who have visited the college along with the number of students who have been placed in the last two years.

My parents decided to get me admitted to the college then and there and that is how I joined ITS Engineering College.

My first day at ITS Engineering College

I still remember my very first day in college. I was very nervous. Seeing this, a faculty came up to and helped me get comfortable with my batch mates. During these four year, I gave learnt many skills and knowledge has grown leaps and bounds – practically and theoretically.

Faculty members of ITS Engineering College were very supportive throughout my college life. They provided support not only academically but in extracurricular activities as well.

The college offers a very good atmosphere for overall grooming of students. It organises a series of workshops where students get a chance to explore a lot of things. We had COE lectures that kept us students updated about the ongoing trends in the corporate world.

Taking admission into ITS Engineering College has been by far the best decision I have taken. The college has taught me a lot of things. I have learnt how to make formal presentations and learnt how to overcome stage fear which was one of my weakest points. Earlier, I was not able to communicate well in front of a lot of people but after attending classes and with the constant support of teachers and my classmates, I finally overpowered my fear of speaking in front an audience. This has for sure improved my confidence and my personality.

Now, I am confident when I speak in front of the class and am able to convey what I want to say which was not easy for me earlier. My communication skills have also improved which is crucial when going for an interview. This is because if you do not have good communication skills, you straightaway lose points in the process. So yes, improving my communication skills has really changed me as a person for good. Also, due to the college and its placement cell, I got placed in such a good company.
