Q: What is the admission process and eligibility criteria for BE and BTech programmes at SRM Valliammai Engineering College?

A: Candidates aspiring admission in BE or BTech programmes at SRM Valliammai Engineering College must fulfil the eligibility criteria. To be eligible for admissions, the applicant must have a minimum aggregate of 45 per cent or more in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects. An aggregate of 40 per cent or more is required for candidates belonging to Bc, MBC, SC and ST caste. The eligible candidates are then required to undergo Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling process basis which they are offered admission to engineering programmes at SRM Velliammai Engineering College.

Q: What are the various BE and BTech specialisations offered at SRM Velliammai Engineering College?

A: We have an industry-embedded curriculum. This helps us in keeping our students at par with the latest trends and industry practices. A: The admissions are offered to students on the basis of composite marking which includes the merit scores (Physics, Chemistry and mathematics) and TNEA scores. A: The cost of BE and BTech programme varies on the basis of choice made by student to pursue the degree from NBA accredited department or Non NBA accredited department.

For accredited department:

1. The student applying through management quota, the fee is Rs 1.49 lakh per annum
2. Students applying through government quota, the fee is Rs 92,000 per annum

For non-accredited department:

1. Student applying through management quota, the fee is Rs 1.47 lakh per annum
2. Students applying through government quota, the fee is Rs 87,000 per annum

For student willing to opt for accommodation facility on campus, there is an additional fee of Rs 1.02 lakh per annum which includes mess facility. We ensure home away from home to students and their parents.
