Scoring high in JEE Advanced is not too difficult now

Preparation for competitive exams like JEE Advanced often scares the students. The focus should always be on completing the syllabus, covering all the topics and revising these topics thoroughly to crack JEE Advanced.
JEE Advanced is one of the most important yet difficult competitive exams in the country. There is no shortcut to ace this entrance exam. JEE Advanced preparation requires a lot of hard work and dedication from students. Hence, students must start preparing for JEE Advanced from day one.
The first thing that every student should keep in mind is to clear the basic concepts.
During the last week, focus on the following preparation tips:
- Solve mock tests as much as possible
- Work on strengths,
- Avoid any kind of discussion related to the exam with peers, as this might lead to confusion while preparation
- Select the study material that is easy to learn and understand, hence, refer to books from one author only
As per my personal experience, Physics requires more attention and concept as the questions are tricky. The students need to consistently practise the questions to score high in this section. Practising previous years question papers would help in enhancing the speed and managing time during the exam. While practising previous years question papers and mock tests, mark all the questions that are repeated. This would help in understanding the important topics of a particular section.
The syllabus includes most of the topics covered while preparing for JEE Main. This would make the preparation of JEE Advanced a little easier.
The mock tests released by IITs are also important, as solving these mock tests would give a clear idea of the pattern and preparation of the student.
The students should be conceptually strong and have a quick ability to solve numerical questions. Hence, practising the numerical questions daily plays a crucial role during the preparation.
To get a good result, students need to be mentally strong during preparation. They should not deviate from their path of clearing the exam in the first attempt itself. I would suggest deciding the section (Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics) first before starting the exam as this would help in managing time properly. The students should keep their confidence high and think positive during the exam.
Avoid starting a new topic during the last month before the scheduled examination. Refer to the short notes prepared during the preparation and practise mock tests only in the last month. Complete the syllabus on time and revise all the topics covered thoroughly to boost the confidence level during the examination.
