Understand the pattern, prepare well, manage time wisely and focus on clearing the exam and achieving high scores.
Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) is conducted for admission in courses of Engineering, Architecture and Medical colleges in the state of Kerala. In this article, we will discuss the best tips and tricks to help the students get an idea for cracking KEAM. These tips would help students in making the preparation process for entrance exam easy and achieving high marks.
Tips and tricks for last week
The last week before the scheduled exam is for revision of the syllabus and practising of mock papers, previous 10 years papers, and quick solving to enhance the speed. Practise as many mock tests as possible to identify the gaps, if any, in the preparation and work on the same in time. Avoid starting a new topic in the last week as this could lead to confusion which would result in reducing the confidence level.
Time management tips
Proper time management is the key to crack any competitive exam. Devise a schedule and give equal time to each subject. Try to cover the syllabus on time. This would give time for revising all the topics before the exam. Practising previous years question papers would help in managing time and enhancing speed and accuracy during the exam. Hence, focus on working smartly and within the time frame to ease the preparation process and score well.
Preparation Strategy
Preparing well for the exams includes covering the complete syllabus smartly. For this, knowing the syllabus is the first and foremost step of the preparation process. KEAM involves a pattern for its students to check their analytical as well as logical reasoning with other essential subjects. The weightage of KEAM results is in a ratio of 5:3:2 in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry respectively. KEAM conducts Paper One for Physics and Chemistry and Paper II for Mathematics. The time duration of each paper is two hours and thirty minutes. The chapters mostly cover the complete syllabus of Class 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Strike a balance between Class 12 and entrance preparation
Every student needs to strike a balance between the preparation of Class 12 board and entrance exams. The syllabus of both the exams is the same. The students also need to know the exam pattern of both the board and KEAM entrance exam as the pattern of both the exams is extremely different from each other. In my personal experience, when I gave the KEAM entrance exam, I was more focused on the Class 12 board exam structure and thus, couldn't crack KEAM. Every exam has its pattern and structure, therefore, I would suggest every student to prepare smartly for any entrance exam.
So, prepare well, manage time wisely and focus on clearing the exam.
