All aspirants set their targets to achieve something that satisfies their parents. That target may be small or big. Also, one of the targets is to select the best colleges for a better future.

Here best refers to a whole lot of things. It is totally a subjective thing that varies from one person to person. It may be best in placement, infrastructure, campus or extracurricular, etc. Thus, before we start preparation, we should set our targets and accordingly we should plan our study. If a candidate wants to get selected in an IIT, he or she must take extra efforts to achieve that target. He/she has to clear both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.

But sometimes our efforts and set targets do not match and it results in scoring fewer marks and we are not eligible to select that particular college which we wish to. It does not mean that your efforts are not up to the mark. But something was definitely left in your preparation. During that time we feel too depressed and demotivated. As an experienced person, I know what problems we face, so I have some suggestions about the problems you need to overcome:

  • Confusion

We often get confused about whether to take admission to other colleges or not? People should ask themselves if they can afford a one year gap financially or mentally. If the answer is yes, you can go ahead. If not then take admission and do well in that field and prove yourself that you deserve better. On the other hand, you can apply side by side for the entrance exams to achieve your final goal.

  • Social pressure

Stay away from your friends and relatives. Some relatives are good but some are those who compare you to others and that demotivates you. I would thus suggest making a good social circle who can encourage you to go ahead. Also, your parents understand you better than you do, so befriend your parents as they are your best friend.

  • Avoid social media

One should avoid contact with social media. The access to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, etc. diverts your mind from your focus areas.

  • Understand the importance of time

Lastly, you must take note of how much time you wasted on unnecessary things. Do time management and sort out mock papers and try to reduce your exam paper attempt time.

You should take admission in any college for which you are getting options and try to take part in extracurricular activities. Join clubs and personality development courses to develop your personality. It will help you in pursuing further goals in your career. Because in the market of employment, everyone wants to select people who know academic stuff instead of a good percentage of pointers in academics.
