We all know that M.Phil is not a very popular course compared to MBA. So we cannot expect for good placements in any colleges for this particular course. In this college the placements are not that much good compared to other colleges. I have reasons for it. This college is not famous for its M.Phil course and another reason is there are only 15 seats in this course so no by which we can know that this college has no interest in getting placement for this course. I want to clarify that I am not saying that placements are not coming in this college, I am saying that the package the company offers is very low compare to other colleges.

Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management Kolkata is said to have a very friendly environment with slight competitiveness. Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management Kolkata MBA HRM or MBA in Human Resource Management is a 2 year full-time programme. It is awarded by the University of Calcutta with eligibility criteria of securing a minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation/postgraduation. Furthermore, the Institute CAT cutoff marks and shortlists candidates for group discussions and interview. Based on the merit, the final list of selected candidates is published.
On April 25, 1953, India marked the establishment of its first Management Institute by the syndicate of the University of Calcutta. The Institute is approved by AICTE and holds various ranks as per the Business Today Top B-School rankings. It offers popular programmes such as MBA and MSW in full-time mode, based on the eligiblity criteria of merit and entrance.
IISWBM offers pretty decent placements. There is a very active placement cell which involves both students and faculty members to look after the placements. The flagship course is worth the money because the ROI is met for a majority of the students. The average package offered was around 5 LPA to 5.5 LPA.
The Institute presently offers several Post Graduate degree programs under the University of Calcutta as well as the Ph D programme . The list includes MBA (D), MBA (E), MBA-HRM, MBA-Public Systems, Masters in Social Welfare and several Post Graduate Diploma programs namely in Sports Management, Media Management, Fire and Industrial Safety, Supply Chain Management, Executive Development programs etc.
