A. No, the students have to make their own arrangements for stay in New Delhi. A lot of accommodation facilities are available near the metro station.

A. The courses are not affiliated to any university or government body. But the course curriculum and practical training are considered much better than any Indian university. These courses are organised and run by Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, which has its own standing reputation in the country.
Q. What video cameras and editing facilities are provided by the Institute for the training of video production?
A. BVBFTS owns more than 20 digital professional and semi-professional cameras. It also has five semi-professional (HD) cameras for initial practice. There are 20 editing setups for non-linear editing. Additionally, they have HDV and AVCHD digital editing machine for broadcast-quality digital production. The Institute has all modern facilities for online editing and sound recording. Students work on Windows as well as Mac platform (for FCP).
Q. What equipment does the Institute provide for Photography?
A. The department has all required equipment, including SLR and DSLR cameras, full range of lenses, accessories, stands, fittings, studio flashes, reflectors, softboxes, umbrellas, cyclorama backgrounds and many more. It also provides several semi-professional digital cameras for students’ practice outside the Institute.
Q. Can a candidate acquire a diploma or certificate from the college if one doesn’t appear for the examination?
A. To be eligible to acquire a diploma, students must attend 80% of the classes, 70% of the practical, participate in all required projects, and must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% in all examinations.
Q. What method of teaching is followed at BVBFTS?
A. The audio-visual method is the best method to communicate. The Institute does not believe in the chalk-and-talk method. Theoretical principles are discussed with the aid of selected series from films and TV programmes. Every course is designed in such a way that nearly 60% of the time is spent on practical work. All the courses are project-oriented and the students are free to handle all production equipment.
BVBFTS admissions are currently open. Candidates can apply online or collect the form from the campus. Admission at BVBFTS is based on a test conducted by the institute. Once selected, aspirants also have to come for the personal interview round for final selection.
