Mystory@Vishal Tyagi: How I selected my college and course
I wanted to make a career in hospitality as I was interested in it. But first, I went through the details of Hotel Management course. I read all merits and demerits and then finally decided to join it as I found it quite interesting and much wider (not only about cooking).
After completing class 12 I started preparing for NCHMCT JEE. I prepared really hard for it. I studied from Arihant book and solved lots of sample papers. I had decided beforehand that I will join Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Bangalore because I was pretty sure that I can’t get through IHM, Pusa. I was confident about IHM, Bangalore, though.
The faculty of IHM Bangalore is superb. The teachers very cooperative and supportive. The infrastructure is poor but that didn’t affect me in any way.
IHM, Bangalore is very particular about self-grooming. One has to be always well-groomed and well-dressed. No beard, ironed clothes, polished shoes, decent haircut, trimmed nails--- if you can manage these on daily basis then this college is the best for you.
