Review of Bachelor of Hotel Management at Christ University.
Placements: Placements are given to the final year students, and nearly the whole batch of final years got placed in various properties. The average package offered by the college is 4 LPA (400000). Internships are mandatory at the beginning of the second year and third year. In the second year, internships are for 2 months; in the third year, the first semester, i.e., 5 months, is for internships. Properties like The Oberoi Group of Hotels, Taj Group of Hotels, ITC Gardenia, and JW Marriott come for placement purposes.
Infrastructure: The facilities offered by the programme are of top quality. Since this course is a very professional course, everything has to be perfect and professional. They have their own restaurant where students from outside come and dine in for an experience; this is also a learning lab for the students of the BHM course. Hostels are provided for the ones coming from outside the city. Well-built buildings, number of activities, good food, etc. are there.
Faculty: The faculty members are very friendly but also, at the same time, equally strict. They are very approachable, and it is very important to maintain a healthy and friendly relationship with them. This course prepares the students in various ways to make them ready for this industry, as it is very difficult to survive if you can't adapt to the way the industry functions. The theory exams are rather easy, as this course is more practical-oriented, and it is not that hard to pass.
Other: I chose this course because I am very interested in being a part of this industry and facing its challenges. This course is also very good because of the amount of exposure this course provides to make the students fit for the industry. The best thing about the course is that we get free food every now and then. There are loads of extracurricular activities in the college that the students can participate in, which can provide them with lots of exposure.

College infrastructure is good.
Placements: The college offers 70% placements. Total fees per year is 120000. Teaching and practices is better than other colleges. There are many international companies placement here like Taj Oberoi and many other. 100% students go for internships in many top banded companies.
Infrastructure: We have best practices kitchen for BHM. It's best compared to other colleges. The college has free Wi-fi for students. Classroom are digital, it help the students for understanding the subjects. They are many canteen in our campus with best food.
Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful to students. But the student teacher connection should be improved ( personal opinion). They make the students ready for the industry. The semester exams are easy to get pass marks as we have CIA marks also added to it.

In short, Christ is a game changer for most people. It builds character and confidence.
Placements: Since the course I did had many people who wanted to study further or run something on their own, not many people sat for placements but the people who did sit for placements, all got placed, so 100%. There are options to sit for placements outside the concerned field as well.
Infrastructure: Christ has one of the best campuses in Bangalore if not India. There were more than enough facilities for all fields. There are multiple canteens which are good. The quality of food offered is definitely above average plus the students of hotel management, including me, have gone for regular audits to make sure the canteen is maintained well and the hygiene is not given up.
Faculty: The curriculum has changed since I joined the college. The teachers in the department are making sure the newer trends in the field are covered. But, there are a few important subjects which are not covered which will help the students become better in this field.
Other: Christ is known for their holistic education which focuses not only on education but extracurricular actives as well. There are more than enough events which happen on a daily basis which includes sports, quizzes, cultural activities and fests. In fact, we need to participate in activities in order to graduate.

Christ University Department of Hotel Management.
Placements: Did not sit for placements. But the placement is offered every year and most of the top companies come to recruit. The University does also provide opportunities to study abroad if not try for placements. These opportunities make Christ a great place to complete your education.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is one of the best in India. The campus life is something that will not be found in any other university with the diverse culture of people and people from all over the world. The infrastructure provided consists of everything that an individual needs during his or her duration of study at the university.
Faculty: The faculty are very friendly and will help you in every step along the way. The course curriculum however has the knack for being changed which is a drawback and has to be looked over by the university administration. Overall it is great to have good faculty who are willing to put in all their effort in Iowa mako the students understand the concept.

I had an amazing experience, and the college provided us with a lot of opportunities.
Placements: The placements in Christ University were good, I believe. Reputed companies did come to our college for recruitment, and most of our batchmates were placed. I didn't opt for placements, hence my perception would be different from those who opted for it.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is beautiful. The college provides portals from where we can refer research papers and various other journals. It was very helpful while preparing for my final project. Besides that, there were huge study enclosures where students study most of the time. The canteens provide healthy food.
Faculty: The college has experienced faculty, they have the industry experience of 10-15 years. They did impart a lot of knowledge. Though there was a shift in the curriculum from the 4th semester, it was very well-connected to the hospitality sector. Due to this shift, I was able to gain a lot of information.
Other: The department was very active. We organised various management fests to make the students understand how to face the real world.

A good place for all round development.
Placements: Placements for my batch (2014-18) were pretty decent with brands like Hilton, Oberoi, Yum brand, Orange County, Air Asia and a few more recruiting around 80+% of those who SAT for placements. Hotels also come to recruit students for internships and in my batch more than 90% students got their internships through college. Students from earlier batches are currently working with good brands like ITC, Ritz Carlton, Hilton, Taj, etc. Overall the placements is really good if you have good academic records and technical skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Christ University is what every Christite is proud of. We have computer labs, the classrooms are huge and spacious with sufficient ventilation. Projectors are fixed in each class. The department of hotel management has its own bakery, kitchen and front office as well as housekeeping labs, each separate. We have two huge food courts and a juice centre as well as three small kiosks for snacks. The hostels within campus are much better than the pgs around college but the only issue is that the hostel doesn't provide food. So students have to procure their own food three times a day, which sometimes adversely affects the health. Wi-Fi is provided by the college with access to only educational material. The two libraries in college are huge and well-equipped with a huge collection of books, computers and general reading area.
Faculty: Teachers from department of hotel management are very approachable at any time of the day even outside college. They are people with industry experience and not just bookish knowledge. The practical sessions are very knowledgeable and the way the sessions are presented have a totally different effect.
Other: Every single day you will find something or the other happening in college to keep you busy. Lots of events, lots of clubs, lots of certificate courses. Dress code is strict, assignments are regularly given and attendance policies are very stringent.

A BHM student's review of Christ University
Placements: The placements within the hospitality industry are good. With connections to many different hotel chains. I don't really know about the salaries offered but what students strive for is a management trainee position where they can become a manager of high status after 2 years of training (travelling all the while).
Infrastructure: The facilities are good but not made use of as often as they could be. Practical hours are considerably less than other BHM courses and there is a lot of focus on the management aspect of the course. Simply regarding the facilities, however, they are fantastic. From the classrooms to our labs, the WiFi and even the food available at the university, there is not much to complain about in terms of facilities.
Faculty: The faculty members of my department are well-educated and experienced in the industry. However, the course curriculum puts a lot of focus on management as opposed to the traditional BHM courses. This means that it is probably not the best place to become a chef but it will definitely leave you graduating with a versatile skill set which will allow you to enter several industries such as hotels, tourism, food and beverage, airlines, luxury yachts or even any service-related corporate job.
Other: The rules are strict and if you can't learn to adjust to their system, you might be thrown out. I have seen more than one person get kicked out because of attendance issues. However, you need to be very irresponsible for that to be the case. The university likes to make themselves look stricter than they really are in front of parents but don't worry, 90% of the people who join learn how to adjust. It is stricter than other colleges however that doesn't mean that you cannot have a fun college life. There are a lot of potential career opportunities that are presented to the students as they study and the students also get brilliant opportunities for a network. Overall, I would say it is a good education.

Other: Decent college to study management subjects. Faculty members are nice and very helpful. Infrastructure also is superb. Equipped with modern technology and even the crowd is amazing. The only reason why student might not like the college is attendance. Christ University is very strict with attendance issues. My friend just got detained because of his attendance. His attendance was 74.3. But according to the Christ curriculum, if your attendance is below 75 then you have to repeat. Other than that Christ has some amazing canteens. Food is never a problem in the campus. Our college is very diverse. You will see people not only from different parts of India but also from different continents of the world. Which is very nice in my opinion. We can socialize with people with different nationalities and religions.

Once the admissions are closed that means the seats are filled and there are very less chances of you getting admitted for the same institution. I suggest you to try many other top colleges in Bangalore for hotel management studies. Few could be:-

For BHM, if you are NRI then the fee for first 2-years is 180000 INR and for the 3rd and 4th year, it's 212000. For foreign national students, if you are from the nation of SAARC, Africa, ASEAN, OCI and PIO member countries then fee is $3500 for the first 2-years and $4100 for the 3rd and 4th-year.
