Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management (GNIHM) was founded in 2005 in Kolkata, West Bengal. It is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Technology and the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology.

 

The institute conducts its application process offline. Eligibility for direct admission is granted to candidates who have secured a rank in the NCHMCT JEE.

 

For admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the institute considers the results of the JET examination, which it conducts. JET is an objective type entrance test comprising 120 questions with no negative marking. Admission selection is based on the performance in this examination.

AM Kolkata offers undergraduate and Diploma courses to students. These courses are provided across Hospitality Management and various other streams. The college offers an Advanced programme in Hospitality Administration (NSDC supported) and also a Bachelor in Tourism Studies (IGNOU) with the option of a BA in Hospitality Management from the University of West London, UK (Top-up-degree)

Humanities as a stream provides a wide range of courses that can be studied after completing their 12th grade. Pursuing any of these degrees prepares you to understand the various levels of humanities and, as a result, carve out an appropriate job path. Candidates in the humanities can apply for positions in the government sector, such as banking firms, government ministries, legal firms, and political analysts.

Content Writer, Civil Services, Human Resource Manager, Defense Services, Lawyer, Journalist, Counsellor, and Therapist positions are available. As freshers, humanities graduates can expect to earn between INR 2-6 LPA.
