DLF Public School Executes UK Exchange Programme Project
DLF PUBLIC SCHOOL EXECUTES UK EXCHANGE PROGRAMME PROJECT
DLF Public School, Sahibabad, executed its first Connecting Classrooms project run by the British Council. Called ‘Knowing me, Knowing You', the initiative is an exchange programme with six schools in the UK, which are Mearns Castle, Mearns Primary, Eaglesham Primary, Calderwood Lodge, Hazeldene and Kirkhill Primary.
The children from both countries shared information about themselves, their families, communities, country, interests by writing poems, making drawings, self-portraits, creative writing and more. There was also an exchange of pictures/presentations and experiences.
SPRINGDALES SCHOOL, DHAULA KUAN, HOLDS BOOK WEEK, SCREENINGS
On the occasion of Book Week, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, organised a screening of visual presentations created by students and faculty. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Rajni Kumar, chairperson of the Springdales Education Society, in the presence of principal Dr Jyoti Bose. The exhibition also showcased class notice boards and projects that the students had prepared as part of their summer vacation homework.
The inauguration took place at a special assembly, portraying the journey of the Book Week thus far through various stage presentations and an award-giving ceremony. A short film was also screened tracing the evolution of the Book Week in the school. The theme of this year's Book Week was ‘Changing classrooms of the 21st century'.
Each class designed certain visuals around a sub-theme assigned to them such as ‘Psychology of the classroom', ‘Inclusion - the panacea of all exclusion' and many more. The exhibition was appreciated by the members of the managing committee and other distinguished guests.
