Q: IILM recently collaborated with National Mission for Clean Ganga to spread environmental awareness, what are the other collaborations on the card?

A: IILM focuses on collaborations with governments and private organizations to address global challenges and promote cross-cultural exchange. It will involve joint research projects, student exchange programs, and collaborative initiatives that contribute to global sustainable development goals. We are also in the process of collaboration with HARTRON for contribution in social audit, 21-century skills, creating E library, etc.

Q: What are some major changes in IILM University admission process that students can expect while applying?

A: We have simplified the admission and it is completely technology enabled. As per our one of the objectives, Inclusive, we are trying to reach out to students from remote places. That is why tech is a tool which helps them to apply from pan India locations to IILM University.

Through the integration of technology, the admission process has been streamlined, standardized, and made more accessible to applicants. It reduced manual effort, increased efficiency, and enhanced the overall experience for both applicants and admissions staff.

Q: Has the University increased the number of seats in any of its top courses?

A: We are planning to increase the number of seats from next year and also add futuristic courses in our bouquet.  

Q: Is the University planning collaborations with other institutes to offer programmes in management, law or engineering field? If yes, please share details.

A: We have already signed MOUs with the top national law university of India for faculty exchange and joint research. Our management school is proactive in collaboration with top international business schools which provides an avenue for the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and best practices. It allows our researchers, faculty, and students to share their ideas, research findings, and methodologies, leading to enhanced learning and academic growth.

Similarly, IILMU has collaborated with top universities in India which helped with Joint research projects, publications, and academic exchanges for recognition within the Indian higher education community.  Institutions can leverage expertise and resources to tackle issues such as public health, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and social inequality.

Q: What are some major preparations done by IILM students while sitting for campus placement?

A: Preparing for final placements is a crucial step for students seeking job opportunities. While the specific preparations may vary depending on the field of study and the company , regular Placement Training workshops are organised for the students in which, Mock Interviews, Group discussions, Aptitude test, Company-specific training and awareness workshops are conducted. Also, faculties conduct revision sessions on the basics of domain knowledge. Business communication, along with Corporate Etiquette are also taught to the students appearing for Placements. Alumni are invited to share their experiences of the industry they are working in. Sectoral weeks are organised every year whereby industry experts are invited and students are oriented on the skill sets required for different sectors.

Q: How has been the last placement season at IILM University, which sectors are witnessing surge in demand for MBA/ BTech graduates?

A: Placements at IILM University for MBA Students has been good, as the Big 4 consulting companies hire on a regular basis., i.e KPMG, PWC, Deloitte & EY. Sectors that have shown a surge were Banking & Finance, Consulting, Ecommerce & IT. Banks like HSBC HDFC, Kotak & ICICI Lombard hired in good. 

Q: What’s the next 5-year vision for IILM University?

A: The Vision of IILM University is “To be a leading institution of higher education that empowers students to become responsible global citizens and leaders in their chosen fields through an innovative, interdisciplinary, and inclusive approach to learning, with an emphasis on learning with purpose and preparing students for purposeful work”
