Ambedkar University, Delhi recently launched a Centre of Psychotherapy and Clinical Research (CPCR) at the School of Human Studies in its campus.

According to the Dean of the School of Human Studies, AUD, the center at the core of its research activities would focus on areas such as trans-generational trauma, emotional vulnerabilities caused by political and social displacements, implications of community and individual work, etc.
About the program:
The program - M.Phil in Psychotherapy and Clinical Thinking – is a three year long program which aims to create professionals who are sensitive and competent, open-minded and flexible and who understand culture, history and politics.
The first three years of the programme deals with rigorous clinical training at the M.Phil level. A few seats are reserved for PhD aspirants who can get the degree after additional two years of clinical research, thus advancing into an integrated M.Phil and PhD programme in psychotherapy and clinical thinking.
Towards the end of the programme, the curriculum would include insights and learnings from psychoanalysis, existential and humanistic traditions, cognitive clinical psychology, psychiatry, community oriented work, and psychological testing.
Attendance:
A minimum of 60% attendance is required in each semester. However, there may be specific course requirements that a student may have to fulfill. Students are advised to consult the course-coordinators at the beginning of each semester.
