Workshop for Teachers
Bal Bharti Public School, Rohini, under the aegis of the National Progressive Schools Conference (NPSC), organised ‘A workshop for English teachers of classes I to V,' inaugurated by the school Principal, Rekha Sharma. Session I, ‘Feel free to use arts' was conducted by Dr. Ashish Ghosh, a professor of political science at Delhi University and the director of Anant Theatre. He introduced the teachers to a number of games which make classroom learning fun. Renuka Chabbra, senior education officer with Synergy School Systems conducted the second session on ‘Effective pedagogy at primary level,' focusing on learning and challenges for L2 learners. The workshop enlightened the teachers and induced progressive outlook amongst them.
Army training
The Army Public School, Delhi Cantonment, organised a Services Selection Board training programme for the National Defence Academy and Tech. entry aspirants of APS, Delhi Cantt & APS, Noida. Lt Col Manjinder Singh, a trained psychologist, who was invited to train students to face the tests and interview, gave valuable tips to the students, especially for the psychological tests. The last phase of the programme included an interactive session with Col. Diwakar Dogra Col DV HQ Delhi Area who briefed the students on the interview techniques.
