Uttarakhand Open University (also known as UOU Haldwani) was established in 2005. UOU courses are recognised by Distance Education Council (DEC) and UGC. UOU Haldwani consists of a total of 14 schools in different streams of education. UOU offers its programmes through 240+ Study Centres established at different locations in the state under eight Regional Centres at Dehradun, Roorkee, Pauri, Uttarkashi, Dwarahat, Bageshwar, Haldwani and Pithoragarh.

Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University offers admission to candidates mainly based on CUET scores of the candidates. The university accepts CUET-UG for BTech, BA, BPharm, etc. and CUET-PG for most of the PG courses. Aspirants are allotted seat via CUET Counselling after the release of merit. Hence, direct admission is usually not offered at HNBGU.

The recent median package offered to BA graduates at Kumaun University is going to be released soon. However, as per the NIRG report 2024, the median package offered during Kumaun University UG three-year placements 2023 stood at INR 1.2 LPA. According to the comparison of placement statistics of the years 2022 and 2023, it can be seen that the median package was improved. Therefore it can be expected that in this year too the median package will improve. 

Located in Uttarakhand, MAHGU and SGRR University offer regular BA courses in various specialisations. Candidates confused between the two universities may want to compare their tuition fees to decide which among the two is more affordable for pursuing a BA.

The BA fee at MAHGU ranges between INR 36,500 and INR 90,500 for various specialisations. On the other hand, the tution fee for a BA at SGRR University ranges from INR 45,000 to INR 3.13 lakh. Clearly, a BA at MAHGU is more affordable than a BA at SGRRU. It must be noted that the mentioned fees are sourced from the official websites of the respective universities/sanctioning bodies. Doon Global University: Admission Office eligibility varies depending on the course. For UG admissions, students must have completed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board with relevant subjects and specified aggregate. As for the PG admissions, students need to have passed graduation in the relevant field from a recognised university. Additionally, students may either have to provide valid entrance exam scores or appear for the entrance test conducted by the university.
