No, the university does not offer direct admission. MDU Rohtak admission to a lot of courses is done through entrance exams. The university conducts an entrance exam to shortlist candidates for MA, MBA, LLM, etc. However, for a few non-centralised courses, admission is merit-based. Thus, for these courses, the candidate's scores in the last qualifying examination are considered for selection. Hence, the candidates must prepare well in advance as a lot of students apply for admission to MDU Rohtak but seats are limited.

Students seeking to enroll at DPG Degree College for the BA programme must ensure that they meet the course-specific eligibility criteria set by the college. There are over 50 seats for BA programmes offered by SGT University. The seat allotment process is carried out as per the sanctioned seat intake and reservation policy of the university. There are 25% of seats reserved for students belonging to the state of Haryana at the university. Out of this, 10% are for students belonging to Haryana state SC category candidates. • Applicant’s choice of preferred Majors under the Survey Section in the application form is only indicative in nature.
