Yes, Calicut University is a part of Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of College and University students that is run by MHRD. Such a scholarship is used to assist needy students with tuition fees as well as maintenance and other needs. Eligibility criteria involves full time UG/PG course with marks of 55 percent in the previous exam. It is applied via internet at the MHRD site, as well as the university courses provide an acknowledgment cell to assist with the procedure and different sorts of scholarships.

To apply for any of the programmes, candidates must first register online at the MGU CAT official website. Candidates from the general category must pay a cost of INR 1,000, while applicants from the reserved category must pay a fee of INR 500. The steps for applying to MG University are listed below:

Step 5: Pay the application fee online via debit/ credit cards or net banking.

In terms of placements, the University has maintained a decent track record. The official placement report or brochure is yet to be released. As per the data gathered from the NIRF report 2024, 156 out of 818 PG (2-year) graduates were placed in 2023. Earlier, 234 out of 803 students were placed in the 2022 drive.
