Q:   What is the KEAM question paper pattern?

A:

KEAM 2024 is an objective type exam with Multiple Choice Questions based on a single response. For each question, five suggested answers would be given, of which only one will be the most appropriate response. The candidate will have to select and mark the alphabet (A, B, C, D or E) corresponding to the most appropriate response in the OMR Answer Sheet. Each question paper will have 4 versions as detailed below: Paper I Physics & Chemistry Versions - A1, A2, A3 & A4 Paper II - Mathematics Versions - B1, B2, B3 & B4 If the Roll Number ends in an odd number, then the candidate should get a question booklet marked A1/B1/A3/B3. If the Roll Number ends in an even number, then the candidate should get a question booklet marked A2/B2/A4/B4.

KEAM question paper is available in English language only. The exam Mode is Offline (pen-paper based). The exam has 2 papers and the exam has Objective (MCQs) type questions. There will be 5 options against each question. Total no. Of questions per paper is 120. The marks awarded for correct answer is 4 and the marks deducted for wrong answers is 1. The total marks per paper is 480. Exam duration for each paper is 2 hours 30 minutes.

KEAM 2023 Question Paper Pattern

Q:   What is the paper 2 of KEAM?

A:

There is no paper 1 or paper 2 in KEAM anymore. As per the revised KEAM exam pattern to be followed from 2024 onwards, KEAM will not have two papers anymore. There will be one paper. The KEAM 2024 engineering candidates have to attempt a total of 150 questions. Mathematics will have 75 questions, Physics will have 45 questions and Chemistry will have 30 questions to be answered in 180 minutes. For KEAM 2024 BPharm ONLY candidates, the Entrance Examination will have a total of 75 questions; 45 questions in Physics and 30 questions in Chemistry to be answered in 90 minutes. For each correct response, candidates will be awarded FOUR marks, and for each incorrect response, ONE mark will be deducted.

 

Q:   Do both the papers of KEAM have 150 questions?

A:

No, KEAM exam has 120 questions per paper. Paper 1 has 120 questions and paper 2 has 120 questions. There will be a total of 240 questions in the KEAM exam. The exam pattern is as follows: Exam Mode: Offline (pen-paper based), Number of Papers: 2. Paper 1 will consist of questions asked from Physics and Chemistry while Paper-II will contain questions from Mathematics, Question Paper type: Objective (MCQs), there will be 5 options against each question, Total no. Of questions per paper: 120, Marks awarded for correct answer: 4, Marks deducted for wrong answer: 1, Total marks per paper: 480, Exam duration for each paper: 2 hours 30 minutes. Questions will be asked from all three subjects Physics Chemistry & Mathematics. KEAM syllabus is based on class 11 and 12 examinations. The weightage of the subjects in KEAM will be 5:3:2 in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

 

Q:   Is KEAM an online CBT exam or an offline pen and paper-based exam?

A:

KEAM was an offline exam until last year. Candidates had to attempt the exam in pen and paper mode. All entries in OMR answer sheet are to be made with blue or black ink BALL POINT PEN only. However, from 2024 onwards, KEAM will be held in CBT mode.

Q:   What is meant by versions in KEAM question papers?

A:

Each KEAM question paper will have 4 versions as detailed below: Paper I Physics & Chemistry Versions - A1, A2, A3 & A4, and Paper II - Mathematics Versions - B1, B2, B3 & B4 Version means every question paper will have 4 versions. Each version of the question paper will differ from one another in some aspects like arrangement of questions, changes in data in the questions asked, etc. The question paper version will be printed on the top left margin of the facing sheet of the question paper. On receipt of the question paper the candidate should ensure that the Version Code printed in the Admit Card and in the question paper are the same.

 

Q:   Do I need to appear for both the papers of KEAM?

A:
