Law Scholarships in India

There are various types of law scholarship in India and each of them have eligibility conditions. Students who meet the conditions will have to apply at the respective scholarship portal to available the benefit.

PM Vidyalaxmi Scheme

This scheme is a government initiative designed to provide educational loans to the students based on merit for higher education at top institutions across India. This scheme is collateral-free and guarantor free education loan.

PM Vidyalaxmi scheme covers up to 30 lakh for eligible course and institution. Subsidy of 3% interest for student with a family income up to 8 lakh. National Divyangjan Finance and Development Corporation Scheme

This scheme is the initiative of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The purpose of the scheme is to provide the educational loans for the students with disabilities to pursue higher education and professional training courses in India and abroad.

The benefit of the NDFDC is that it provides loan assistance up to 50 lakh for education and training course. The nominal interest rate if of 4% p.a. Students who wish to available the benefit of this scheme can apply at NDFC website, ndfdc.nic.in.

Karnataka Social Welfare Department One Time Financial Assistance to SC/ST students

This scheme is for Karnataka domicile students who have a valid caste certificate issued by the Karnataka government. Interested students can apply for this scheme through the website, swdservices.karnataka.gov.in.

  • Post-matric Scholarship for students with disabilities by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities for PWD students
  • Scholarship for Top Class Education for students with disabilities by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities for PWD students
  • Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities by Ministry of Minority Affairs for Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Jain,, Buddhist and Zoroastrians (Parsis)
  • Central Sector Scheme for Scholarship for College and University Students by Department of Higher Education for students who passed 10+2 with minimum 80%.

Many private bodies also provides the financial aid to support the education of economically backward students.

Kotak Kanya Scholarship

Kotak Education Foundation launched this scheme in 2021 to provide financial aid to the deserving girl students belonging to the financially challenged backgrounds to pursue higher education. This scholarship is applicable across India. Additionally, this program provides mentorship support, finishing school training and life skill support for holistic support.

Aditya Birla Foundation Scholarships

This scholarship is based on CLAT rank. Top 20 CLAT rank holders can take the benefit of this scheme. Aditya Birla Management Corporation Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai trust collects the details form all National Law Universities and approves the scholarship based on their own selection process. Aditya Birla Scholarship covers tuition and hostel fess. This scholarship is valid till you complete the LLB programs.

Reliance Foundation Scholarships

This scholarship is introduced to support talented UG and PG students across the country to pursue higher education. Reliance Foundation Scholarships is provided to the meritorious students.

This scholarship is provided to the Indian citizen. Also, passed 10+2 with minimum 60% marks and enrolled in first year UG degree (full time) in any stream.
