Among the various sections of the exam, vocabulary plays a crucial role in the CLAT English Language section and other Law Entrance Exams 2026. Q:   How many city preferences can a candidate submit while selecting AILET center?
A:

Candidates can submit maximum 3 preferences for AILET centre. Choosing preference for exam centre is mandatory to submit AILET application. Candidates will get to know about allotment of exact centre once the admit card is released. The NLU Delhi releases admit card online comprising crucial details about exam including name and address of AILET centre. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website after its release. To download AILET admit card, candidates need application ID, password, and Exam Unique Code (EUC).

Q:   How will I know if I am eligible to appear in CLAT exam or not?
A:

In order to know if you are eligible or not check the official notification and the eligibility criteria. There is no other way to check the the eligibility criteria.  Do not fill the form without checking the eligibility criteria. 

Q:   Can I appear for AILET if I forget to carry my photo ID?
A:

No, candidates were not allowed to appear for the examination without a valid photo ID. Candidates were advised to keep the following three things ready with them, a day before the examination; a valid photo ID proof, AILET admit card 2026, and a recent passport-sized photograph. These were the mandatory documents to be produced during entry to the AILET exam centre. The valid photo identity card which would be allowed at the AILET 2026 exam centre include Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter Id. The admit card should also have the passport and postcard-sized photographs pasted on it.

The Freeze option is used by candidates to confirm their choice of NLU. Apply for upgrade option is used when candidates want to change the allotted institute to his or her higher choice (upward shifting).

Q:   When is AILET merit list released?
A:

The AILET merit list is released once the counselling begins. NLU Delhi releases the merit list as per the seats and vacancies. The first merit list is released in the last week of December or first week of January. The merit list notification can be checked at the NLU Delhi official website.
