AAFT is a private college and was established in 1993. The college is located in Film City, Noida and has more than 30 years of experience in providing education to students. AAFT Noida is recognised by the UGC and the Ministry of Education.
Heritage Institute of Management and Communication UG course include BJMC+DMLP programme, which has a course duration of three years. At PG level, the institute offers three programmes, namely, MJMC+DMLP, PG Diploma in Journalism & Mass Communication+DMLP and PGDBJP programmes. The eligibility criteria for admission to all the UG and PG programs are based on a candidate's aptitude for the media industry and their performance in the admission test and PI round conducted by the department. Candidates who have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board and have the required aptitude for the chosen programme are eligible to apply to BVBFTS. All full-time UG Diploma programs offered by the department are of one-year duration. The admission procedure involves a personal visit to the office to deposit the application form, followed by an interview where the candidate's look, appearance, and determination for a career in the media industry are judged. After the interview, the candidate has to appear for an entrance test for which they have to pay the required registration fee and collect the admission test entry ticket. The first list of selected candidates will be displayed on the website within ten days of the admission test. If selected, the candidate has to pay the first installment of the fee within the specified time to confirm their admission.
