The application process of Common Admission Test or CAT 2017 will end todya at 5 pm. Those who still haven't applied, must do it today as there will be no extension of the last date anymore. Last date of submitting the application forms was orginally September 20, 2017, it but was extended to September 25, 2017. The aspirants were given five extra days to apply for India's most popular MBA entrance exam to be conducted Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM L) this year.
According to reports, the last date apply was extended due to technical glitches faced by aspirants while filling the application form online. CAT authorities announced on the official website that will be no further extension.
Limited edit option to correct mistakes in submitted applications will be available from September 27 to 30, 2017. Those who need to make changes in their submitted forms can avail this facility.
Option to request for assistance for PWD candidates will also be available from September 27 to 30, 2017.
The exam, which is conducted for admission to 19 IIMs and over 100 B-schools of India, will be held on November 26, 2017 in two sessions.
CAT is a computer based test, held at about 140 test centres across India. The exam is conducted from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm.

CAT 2017 will be conducted by IIM L under Professor Neeraj Dwivedi who has been appointed the exam convener.
Hereβs how to apply:
- Log on to the official website and create and account
- Access the application form with the help of system generated ID and password
- The ID and password will be sent to the mobile phone number entered while registering, so make sure the phone number you furnish is your personal number
- Access the application form and furnish all the details correctly
- You need not complete the application in a single session. You can login multiple times to complete. However, you cannot edit any details on the application form after you have made the online payment
- After you submit the application, there will be a limited time window during which you can modify very limited details like Percentage of Marks scored, Work Experience, Programmes Selected etc
- You will not be able to modify any of the following: any details entered in the personal details section, any details entered in the academics section except the percentage marks scored, exam centre city preferences
- The form will have a section in which the candidate is supposed to enter three exam centres in order of preference. Allotment of the test centre will be done as per availability
- Upload a recent passport size photo with white background. The photo shouldn't be more than 6 months old
Application fee Rs 1700 can be paid online through debit/credit cards or net banking. Rs 850 for SC/ST/PWD (DA) categories.
CAT will release a step-by-step user manual at least a month before the exam for the test takers to familiarize themselves with the exam process and pattern. Aspirants are advised to take help from the manual for a better understanding of the exam.
