Express one’s opinion and views easily in order to make others understand what we think: Akila Narayan

I opted Bio-Maths group because I wanted to know how living and non-living things behave. Also, Bio-Maths group has a wide opening for choosing different careers. When it came to studying MBA/PGDM, I researched all the websites in order to find a good B-school. I got interested in Thiagarajar School of Management once I started going through its site. One of the amazing aspects of the college was its ‘Go Green Concept’ and the students wholeheartedly volunteer in this. It was quite interesting to see and this made me apply for the course. I speak well and can convince people very easily. So, I thought that MBA/PGDM course would suit me and I would be able to make a good career out of it.

I underwent a Group Discussion and Personal Interview process in Thiagarajar School of Management on March 19, 2019, in Madurai. It was not an easy job to crack the interview. I went through the GD process with a lot of fear. The topic given to me was “Is India Ready for Cashless Economy?” The group discussion went on well and it was quite a challenging process to crack the GD. The PI process was a one-on-one interview. I gave XAT and MAT which had many topics to cover and required a lot of aptitude and thinking skills to pass. I did not attend any coaching class as I prepared on my own. I applied only for Thiagarajar School of Management and finally cracked both its GD and PI rounds and got admission. Getting admission in any college is difficult. I wouldn't say it is easy but having a motto to join a particular college will help to crack the interview with lots of effort and confidence. The first thing I learned when I went to attend the interview is to express one’s opinion and views easily in order to make others understand what we think.

Lectures take place only from 9 am to 3 pm. After the lectures, we have a lot of free time to join different club activities, sports, gym, etc. People interested in games opt for that. We can take part in many other programs which will be an additional skill to show in our resumes. All classes here are interesting because the faculty here are well experienced and they are very friendly to the students. They are ready to help you out at any point of time regarding any kind of problem. I take part in games especially badminton. We play every evening and enjoy ourselves. Our college is good. Everybody here believes in the concept of ‘Go Green’. Peacocks are often found roaming near the college campus. It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of TSM and I am feeling proud to be a TSMite. TSM is out an out a place where we cherish each and every moment along with our faculty members. We can utilize the resources to the maximum that have been provided to us. Studying in TSM will mould your character and will make you ready to work in a reputed company or organization.

Hi! I am Akila Narayanan, pursuing my Post Graduation from Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai. I completed my Under Graduation from Velammal College of Engineering and Technology, Madurai. I passed out with an aggregate of 8.87 CGPA. My hobbies are playing Guitar, Shuttle and reading Novels/Books. My interest lies in Marketing and Finance which made me pursue PGDM in the well-reputed B-School in Madurai.  I have secured district level 1^st prize for a social welfare project titled “The Life Saving Block Detector”.
