In class 11th, I chose Science stream. But later on, my interest shifted to economics and business. I started reading English newspapers on a regular basis. After completing 12th and securing 70% of marks, I took admission in Lovely Professional University (LPU) and opted for BBA (Marketing specialization). Thereafter, completing my BBA with 7.56 CGPA, I joined NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) in a project for some months. After completing the project I appeared for LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test) MBA entrance exam. I qualified for the entrance exam with good marks and became eligible for a scholarship. Since I have already done my graduation from the same university, I was totally aware of the diversity of the campus. The significant factor that attracted me to take admission again was the introduction of new courses in finance, business analytics and interestingly, they are not charging extra for this amalgamation. All I know is that this is the only private university in India with many different recognitions and rankings both by private and government agencies. Another reason for choosing this course is future prospects and job opportunities from here. In the current economic slowdown, one has to choose the course wisely which gives more benefits in terms of employment. This is an era of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning), hence understanding the market and its requirements I have decided this course for my good.

Lovely Professional University takes admission through LPUNEST and it is quite easy as compared to other exams such as CAT, XAT, etc. The only thing one has to focus on is to score high. The share of scholarship is in accordance with the marks. According to me, there is no need of any coaching classes for the same. The only thing that should be followed is some online websites such as Indiabix, etc. for practicing the questions. LPUNEST MBA was the only entrance test that I appeared for. Focusing more on English grammar, quantitative aptitude, reasoning and general knowledge is the only way to clear the exam.  Apart from this, one can refer some books such as R.S. Aggarwal for quantitative and reasoning aptitude. The level of exam is average and based on Matriculation. Objective books for English is enough for covering the grammar part. For general knowledge, current affairs, GD (group discussion) and PI (personal interview), following English newspaper will help a lot. 100 questions have to be solved in 3 hours.

The only motto of this exam should be to score high since high score gives high scholarship offer.

As an MBA student, the schedule is too hectic with 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM classes. Actually classes start at 09:00 AM and it ends at any time between 03:00 PM and 05:00 PM. After the class hours, I participate in MBA related activities that is being organized by different clubs such as strategy club, marketing club, finance club, entrepreneurship club and many more.

These clubs are running under the centre of professional enhancement. There are many subjects because of the trimester system in MBA. I like to attend ‘R Language’ classes (Business Analytics) the most because it is my specialization in MBA. There are many events that are directly organized by various companies in the campus for MBA students. Live projects are being organized by the companies which provide industry exposure. The most important thing is that Business department of the university organizes case-based presentation to analyze the current business scenario. There are several things that I would change if I’d an opportunity. Firstly, there should be good advertising for the events else the participation will be less. Secondly, some refreshment for the participants should be offered if the event stretches and is lengthy.

The college had embedded humongous changes in my personality, communication, confidence, etc. It also helped me in improving my results day by day. There is a centralized mechanism for academic support to all the students of the campus. Here, knowledge is appreciated, degree and marks are the secondary aspects. I am definitely going to recommend this college to my juniors. Communication skill is one of the most important trait in MBA and this university imparts that with ease.

Those who want to pursue their career in financial consulting, this will be a golden opportunity because ‘Miles Education Company’ is supporting here in the areas of investment banking and financial consultant courses. Every year management conclaves are conducted on topics such as ‘Agility in the Economy’ and many more. Such conclaves help students in presenting their case study in front of foreign delegates.
