Mystory@Ankit Yadav: How I chose my course and career

1 min readUpdated on May 19, 2017 16:52 IST

After completing my Class 12, I had a discussion with my sister and thereafter took admission in Chameli Devi Institute of Technology and Management (CITM), Indore. At CITM, I completed my Engineering degree in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) specialisation. After Engineering, I wanted to pursue MBA from Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya because the return of investment of an MBA degree is good. For this, I prepared for CET and scored 326 Rank in General category and Rank 16 in OBC category. The entrance exam was quite tough and there was stiff competition. Finally, I secured admission in MBA Marketing Management course.

I belong to a middle class family where getting a job after graduation is a priority. But my parents believed in me and allowed me to do MBA after which I got placed in Ujjivan Financial Services.

My college life

Faculty was very good. They taught us well and we were given many opportunities to develop ourselves in every manner. Wherever I am today is because of the confidence that my faculty had in me during that period. Their belief in my abilities helped me a lot.
