AFMC Results 2011 will be declared in the last week of May. The exams of AFMC were conducted at the rescheduled timings on 1st May 2011, due to the AIEEE paper leakage. The MBBS course, for which the admission was conducted, is likely to start from 1st August 2011.


Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) conducts entrance exam for its medical courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSc Nursing. The medical college was set up on 1st May 1948 and affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and recognized by MCI. Apart from this, college also provides training into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses with an illustrious career in Defense Services.


AFMC 2011 Interview:

  • As per their performance in written examination, selected candidates will be called for an interview, to be held in the month of June at AFMC, PUNE.
  • Students will be intimidated about the exact date of the above interview. The authorities will not entertain any request for date change.
  • At the time of interview, candidates must bring their originals of all certificates/mark sheets.
  • After interview, two merit lists, one for boys and other for girls, will be prepared.
  • The admissions will be based purely on the merit position secured by the candidates
  • Selected candidates will be provided with individual letters of admission. Remaining candidates will be on waiting list.


Number of Seats in AFMC 2011

  • Total 130 students
  • 105 for boys & 25 for girls
  • 10 seats for reserved category (These candidates must fall within the first 500 in the final combined merit list of boys and girls.)

The recruitment for various posts will rest upon the total vacancies available and merit-cum-option at the final MBBS examination. Those SSC officers, who pass out of AFMC, will serve to the Armed Forces Medical Services for seven years. Moreover, candidates who qualify are made to sign a bond in this regard for an amount of 15 lacs (Rupees Fifteen lacs) at the time of joining.

Apart from this, any student terminated from his service liability for any reason, is required to pay this bond money according to rules and regulations set by Government of India.
