AIPVT 2012 to be held on May 12

Are you interested in exploring the world of animals and have zeal to understand the animal sciences..?? Here's your chance to grab the knowledge about the veterinary field and exam to enter the field. 
The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) is all set to conduct the All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) 2012 on May 12. This exam is a gateway for admission to B.V.Sc. and A.H. Courses for academic session 2012-13. The exam has been conducted by VCI to fill the 15% seats in governmental veterinary colleges.
Eligibility criteria:
- To be eligible for this exam, candidates should be Indian and candidates from state of Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible to appear for this exam as the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 has not been extended to this state.
- Should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Minimum marks for SC/ST and OBCs is 40%.
- Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2012. Those attaining seventeen years on 1st January, 2013 or later will not be eligible for the admission.
Pattern of AIPVT:
It will be an objective type multiple choice paper and the duration of the exam will be 3 hours. This exam will cover the topics from PCB and the students will have to answer 200 questions in the prescribed time. It will be conducted in English language only and there will be negative marking for every wrong answer.
Registration Window:
Last date to register for the exam is 15th February, 2012 and students who belong to far flung areas like Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Lakshadweep and many others can submit the forms by March 3, 2012.
