IIM Indore, ACCA sign MoU to launch joint academic programme in accountancy
ACCA will work with IIM-I to cultivate a culture of innovation and research in field of accounting and finance, contributing to advancements in profession.
ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) has partnered with Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore for enhancing professional opportunities, and fostering excellence in fields of accountancy and finance.
“This collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions to benefit their members and broader community of accountancy professionals. IIM Indore and ACCA will create a powerful network that fosters innovation, knowledge sharing, and best practices in the industry,” reads a release issued by ACCA.
Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director at IIM Indore, said: “We at IIM Indore are delighted to collaborate with ACCA, a globally respected professional accountancy body, to bridge academic excellence with global industry practices. This partnership reflects our commitment to shaping future-ready leaders who can excel in the dynamic world of finance and accounting. By integrating ACCA’s global perspective with IIM Indore’s academic rigor, we aim to create transformative learning opportunities, foster innovation in accountancy education, and contribute to the development of professionals with lasting impact.”
As a part of this MoU, both bodies will collaborate to facilitate academic collaboration through joint academic programs, workshops, and seminars. Additionally, ACCA will also implement joint initiatives for professional development, including train the trainer and faculty development sessions. Furthermore, ACCA will work together with the institute to cultivate a culture of innovation and research in the field of accounting and finance, contributing to the advancements in the profession.
