Bihar government has announced to establish of one model school in every district of the state. Within a year more schools will be established by scaling up the model.
In order to improve the education system in Bihar, the state government will establish one model school in every district soon. The recently formed Nitish Kumar-Lalu Yadav government is working on improving the health and education system in the state, which is one of the worst in the country.
Making the announcement, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav wrote on Twitter: βIt is our priority to make the education system more effective and strong under the leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister. A model school will be set up in every district of Bihar without delay.β
The state government will involve parents and teachers for the establishment of these model schools. βThe model will be widely implemented throughout the year. Children, parents and teachers will be partners in every phase of counselling and creation,β Yadav writes.
Bihar has been performing poorly on various surveys conducted by the central government and also the NITI Aayog on SDGs. The enrollment ratio is low in Bihar compared to the national average and has high dropout rates.
