The Board of Secondary Education Odisha has released the assessment scheme 2022-23. The current academic year will be split into two terms. Read to know more!

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has released the assessment scheme for Class 10. The state board has also released the BSE Odisha 10th Syllabus 2022-23. In a detailed notification, the state board has also said that the current academic year will also be divided into two terms.

Odisha 10th Syllabus 2022-23

The academic session for 2022-23 will be from May 2022 to April 2023 which will be divided into two terms. The first term will be from May to October 2022 and the second term will be from November 2022 to April 2023. The syllabus has been designed for each term.

As per Board of Secondary Education, 100% syllabus will be followed in class 9 and 10 for both Madhyama, HSC courses and for State Open School Certificate courses during academic session 2022-23. The Ex-Regular candidates of HSC, Madhyama and back candidates of the SOSC examination shall appear the examination during 2022-23 in the same syllabus.

The question paper in all subjects will be the same for all categories of candidates.

BSE Odisha 10th Assessment Scheme 2022-23

The assessment will be based on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation similar to that of the preceding year with minor modifications as given here under:

1. There will be two Formative Assessments and one Term-end examination in each term. The syllabus has been designed for four quarters accordingly.

2. Questions of Term-end examinations (Summative Assessment-I & II) will be from the portion of the syllabus outlined in term-wise breakup of the syllabus which will be approximately 50% of the total syllabus.

3. Internal Assessment will be conducted as usual in form of Formative Assessments. One Formative Assessment will be conducted in each quarter.

4. Pattern of questions will be same for both summative Assessments.

5. Following weightage will be given to different assessments for arriving at the results.

  • Internal Assessment (IA): 20%
  • Summative Assessment-I (SA-I): 40%
  • Summative Assessment-II (SA-II): 40%
