This year, the March series recorded nearly 85,000 entries — the largest ever for the March series in India, marking an 11% increase from last year.
- Cambridge IGCSE saw over 62,000 entries, a 12% rise
- Cambridge International AS & A Level had over 20,000 entries, a 10% increase
The growth reflects the increasing preference for flexible exam options that support both national and international academic goals.
STEM Subjects Continue to Lead
STEM subjects remain the most popular among Indian students.
- Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry were the top choices at both IGCSE and AS & A Level.
- Biology at IGCSE saw a 16% rise in entries, indicating growing interest in life sciences.
Focus on Future-Ready Skills
Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives witnessed a 24% increase in entries. This subject helps students develop essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, research, and collaboration, by exploring real-world global issues.
Strong Interest in Business and Economics
At the AS & A Level, Economics and Business were the 4th and 5th most popular subjects respectively. This shows a strong interest among students in understanding economic systems and global business environments.
Cambridge Expands Its Reach in India
More than 800 schools in India now offer the Cambridge international curriculum. Globally, the curriculum is taught in over 10,000 schools across 160 countries. The March series was introduced specifically for India to align with national admission cycles. Students in India can also take the exams in June and November.
