CBSE has cancelled the CBSE 10th Board exams 2021 amid a spike in COVID cases across the nation. The decision on Class 12th exams to be taken on June 1.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to cancel the CBSE 10th exams 2021 amid rising COVID cases across the nation. The decision on CBSE 12th exams 2021 will be taken on June 1. It is likely that Class 12th exams 2021 would not be cancelled but postponed and conducted at a later date after reviewing the situation.
For class 10 students, CBSE 10th result 2021 will be prepared on the basis of an βobjective criterionβ to be developed by the Board. Any student who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.
CBSE 12th exams 2021, which were scheduled between May 4 and June 14, will now be conducted at a later date.
The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi met Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal today to discuss the matter of conduct of CBSE 10th, 12th examinations 2021.
Students, parents, and several ministers were demanding the cancellation of board exams in the wake of spike in COVID positive cases across the country. Hastag #Cancelboardexams was going viral on social media to demand cancellation. Many students favoured the conduct of CBSE exams 2021 in the online mode. They said that since the studies for the entire year were online, so should be the exams.
