CBSE 10th Results 2021: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been granted time by the Delhi High Court to respond to a plea concerning the methodology of assessment of private Class 10 students. Just like for regular students, CBSE 10th Board Exams 2021 were also cancelled for private candidates on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. The order was passed by Justice Prateek Jalan, hearing a petition moved by the mother of a private class 10 student after time was sought by the counsel for the CBSE. According to the reports, CBSE asked for ten days’ further time to take instructions on the methodology for assessment of private candidates for the Class 10 examinations. The judge recorded the same in the order dated July 29 and the matter has now been listed for further hearing on August 23. The notice to CBSE in the petition was issued in June when the court granted six weeks’ time to the education body to clarify its stand.

In her petition, the student’s mother, Payal Bahl submitted that while students have been declared as “Pass” after the announcement of the cancellation of CBSE 10th examinations, CBSE has not issued any notification regarding its policy on how marks are to be awarded to private students in order to release CBSE 10th Results 2021. Payal contended, “CBSE’s attitude towards the students who are privately enrolled in class 10 examination is “prima facie violative of the Article 14 of the Constitution of India” and takes away their equal opportunity of proceeding with further education.”

Meanwhile, the Board has already issued alternative assessment criteria for regular Class 10 students in order to release their CBSE 10th Results 2021. However, the Board is yet to make an official announcement regarding CBSE Class 10 Results 2021 date.
