The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) decided to announce the CBSE 10thand CBSE 12thboard exam result by July 15. After taking the decision regarding the cancellation of the CBSE 10th Board Exams 2020 and CBSE 12th Board Exams 2020 at the Supreme Court on June 26, the Board informed the court that it will release CBSE 10th Results 2020 and CBSE 12th Results 2020 on the basis of internal assessment and pending exams for Class 12 will be conducted once the normalcy is restored.
This year, the CBSE could conduct the class 10, 12 board exams in 173 subjects. Exams for over 80 subjects could not be held due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. According to the reports, evaluation of the answer sheets of CBSE 10thand CBSE 12th board exams was started on May 10. Due to the nationwide lockdown, teachers were sent answer copies to their homes to check. Usually, teachers go to schools or centres to check the CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th answer copies. Over 1.5 crore answer copies are being sent to teachers from 3,000 CBSE recognised evaluation centres.

After appearing in the SC, CBSE postponed all exams scheduled in July, including the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) which was scheduled for July 5.
CBSE Results 2020 will be available on the official websites of the Board. Students can check the CBSE 10th Results 2020 and CBSE 12th Results 2020 on their mobile phones and on computers. The official websites to check CBSE Results 2020 are cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.nic.in and results.nic.in.
Students eagerly waiting for cbse.nic.in results 2020 need to login to the result portal using their roll number and date of birth details as mentioned on their CBSE 10th admit card and CBSE 12th admit card.
Soon after the announcement of the CBSE result 2020, new academic session for the newly promoted students of Class 10 and Class 12 is expected to begin through online medium considering the ongoing pandemic situation. As per the new guidelines released by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, schools and colleges will remain closed until July 31. The ministry directed educational institutions to begin online or distance learning classes.
