Students who will be appearing for pending ICSE class 10 and ISC class 12 exams, can now apply for a change of exam centers on or before June 7, 2020.
The Council for the India School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced that the students who will be appearing for the pending board exams can now change their exam centers and appear for the same from a CISCE affiliated school in their area. The students can request a change in exam centers with their respective schools on or before June 7, 2020.
In mid-March, schools, colleges, and other educational institutions across the country were shut down, after which several students have moved to different locations. Keeping that in mind the CISCE has now allowed students appearing for class 10th and 12th board exams to appear from the location they are presently staying in.
βWe have received requests from schools and parents for a change in the candidateβs exam centre. To ensure that students who are not present in the district where their school is located, the candidates have been allowed to appear for the remaining examinations from an exam centre located in a CISCE affiliated school in the location they are in,β said Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary, CISCE.
The CISCE had earlier released the revised ICSE timetable 2020 and ISC timetable 2020 for all the postponed examinations on its official website on May 22, 2020.
Students who are unable to appear for the remaining exams due to coronavirus will be permitted to take the exams at the time of conduct of compartmental exams, he added.
