The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the JEE Mains 2026 registration for session 1 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to submit the JEE Main application form 2026 is November 27, 2025. Students are advised not to wait for the last date and to apply early to avoid technical glitches.
Based on the previous year, the authority is less likely to extend the JEE Main 2026 registration date. Candidates have to complete the registration, form filling, capture live photo and pay the fee.
What’s New In The JEE Main 2026 Application Process?
Here are what’s new in the JEE Main application form (2026):
- Mandatory live photo capture during registration via webcam.
- Automatic identity verification
- Aadhar address-based centre allocation
- Revised file size limits: photo (10 KB-200 KB), signature (10 KB-100 KB).
- Upload UDID (disability) certificate in PDF (50 KB-300 KB) for PwD candidates.
- No correction window for photo after submission.

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be held from January 21 to 30, 2026, while Session 2 is scheduled between April 2 and 9, 2026. The exam will continue in computer-based test (CBT) mode and will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, and regional languages.

JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent in 2024 or 2025 from a recognised board.
- Students appearing in Class 12 in 2026 are also eligible.
- Applicants must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology.
- There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2026.

When will the JEE Main 2026 form correction start?
NTA will open the JEE Main correction window tentatively between November 30 and December 2, 2025. Candidates will be able to edit only a select few fields.

What is the JEE Main 2026 Registration Last Date?
The JEE Main 2026 Registration last date is November 27, 2025.
Aadhar enrollment number is a unique number which students can find in the acknowledgement receipt received at the time of applying for Aadhar. Students should know that Aadhar enrollment number is not same as Aadhar number. At the time of filling JEE Main application form, candidates have to fill Aadhar Enrollment number and not Aadhar number.
In case candidates do not have Aadhar enrollment number, students can apply through Passport, PAN or ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credit ID).
Candidates who mistakenly fill any details wrong can modify/correct the details during JEE Main application correction facility. NTA allows the candidate to make corrections after the last date of application process. To make corrections, candidates need to login on the JEE Main official website during the specified dates and modify the details. In case candidate has entered wrong category, he/she may need to apy the application fee as per the new category. Other details like photo, signature, exam centre preference, paper choice, address can also be changed during the correction window.
