Karnataka Government decided to conduct the Karnataka SSLC Exams 2020 according to the decided schedule amid the rising COVID-19 positive cases in the state.
Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 to be conducted tomorrow onwards. According to the media reports, the Karnataka government decided to go ahead with its plans to conduct Class 10 amid the ongoing pandemic situation. Karnataka SSLC examinations 2020 scheduled to begin from June 25, according to the revised Karnataka SSLC 2020 Time Table.
While addressing the media, Karnataka Health Minister B Sriramulu said, โSSLC exams to take place tomorrow. About 8,48,203 students will write the exam. Social Distancing&mask required. Minister of Education & I have already held lot of meetings. Students from containment zones will be carefully handled.โ
Students are advised to report to the examination centre three hours before the commencement of the Karnataka SSLC Exams 2020 i.e. at 7:30 am. The Class 10 Board Exam will begin at 10:30 am. The state education minister S Suresh Kumar suggested that early entry will help students maintain social distancing. The Karnataka Board informed the students about the Karnataka SSLC Exam Centres and reporting time via SMS. Strict instructions are given to the examination authorities to follow health advisory and precautionary laid down by the Health Minsitry against the novel coronavirus spread.
The clarification regarding the conduction of the Karnataka SSLC Board Exams 2020 came after the Telangana SSC Board Exams 2020, Tamil Nadu 10th Board Exams 2020 and Puducherry Class 10 exams declared canceled by their respective Boards. The students who were supposed to appear for TS SSC, TN 10th and Puducherry Class 10 board exams would be promoted to the next level without any exams in view of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. In both Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Tamil Nadu 10th Results 2020 and Puducherry Class 10 Results would be released assessing students' performance in quarterly and half-yearly exams and their attendance.

Karnataka government decided to conduct the Secondary School Leaving Certificate or Karnataka SSLC board examination between June 25 and July 4. Earlier, while talking about their decision to hold the Karnataka SSLC Exams 2020, the Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar said, "After deliberating with many experts, we kept the interest of children in mind and are holding the examination taking all precautions."
He added that the issue of holding the SSLC examination was discussed in the High Court as well.

Mr Kumar said the Human Resource Development Ministry and Ministry of Home Affairs gave a green signal to hold the 10th board exams. He also appealed to the people not to create any confusion among children about the examination when they are seriously preparing for it. Earlier, the Karnataka Class 10 board exams 2020 were supposed to take place on March 27. However, the 10th board exams got postponed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the country. The COVID-19 spread delayed 10th board results 2020 and 12th board results.
With the revised Karnataka SSLC Board Exam Dates, it appeared that Karnataka SSLC Results 2020 would be delayed until mid-July or July-end.
