For the Maharashtra SSC 2025 exam, a total of 1.8 lakh personnel will be deployed across 5,130 exam centres in Maharashtra. The reshuffling of staff at the 701 centres is a strategic measure to address previous malpractice cases that were reported during the exams, particularly in the years following the COVID-19 period.

Maharashtra Board SSC, HSC Exam 2025: In an effort to ensure a fair and transparent examination process, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has taken strict action by replacing the entire staff at 701 exam centres across the state for the SSC 2025 exams. Board Chairman Sharad Gosavi emphasized that this decision is aimed at preventing malpractices and irregularities during the exams. He stated, β€œThe board has taken a strict decision to curb exam malpractices and ensure fair examinations. Replacing the staff at these centres will help prevent any irregularities in the SSC board exams this year.”

Deployment of 1.8 Lakh Personnel Across 5130 Exam Centres

For the SSC 2025 exam, a total of 1.8 lakh personnel will be deployed across 5,130 exam centres in Maharashtra. The reshuffling of staff at the 701 centres is a strategic measure to address previous malpractice cases that were reported during the exams, particularly in the years following the COVID-19 period. The breakdown of the staff replacement across the state’s exam centres is as follows:

  • Pune: 139 out of 679 centres
  • Nashik: 93 out of 486 centres
  • Nagpur: 86 out of 679 centres
  • Mumbai: 18 out of 1,055 centres
  • Kolhapur: 54 out of 114 centres
  • Konkan: No staff changes (no malpractice cases reported)
  • Latur: 59 out of 413 centres
  • Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: 155 out of 646 centres

This staff reshuffling will ensure that the SSC 2025 exam remains free from any unfair practices, enhancing the integrity of the process.

Stringent Legal Action Against Malpractices

Sharad Gosavi also warned that strict legal action will be taken against those found involved in malpractice during the SSC or HSC exams. He highlighted that individuals caught engaging in malpractices will face cognizable and non-bailable charges under the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act, 1982. The board is committed to taking every possible step to eliminate cheating and fraudulent activities during the exams.

Enhanced Security Measures for SSC 2025 Exam Centres

To further strengthen the security of the SSC 2025 exams, a range of security measures will be implemented:

  1. Assistant Supervisors (Runners): These personnel will monitor the handling and distribution of confidential exam packets using mobile video recordings to ensure transparency from collection to distribution at the exam centres.

  2. Closure of Photocopy Centres: All photocopy centres within a 500-metre radius of exam centres will remain closed during the exam period to prevent students from accessing unauthorized materials.

  3. Section 144 Imposed: Section 144 will be enforced in areas around exam centres, prohibiting unauthorized gatherings and ensuring a peaceful environment during the exams.

  4. Drone Surveillance: In sensitive areas, drone surveillance will be used to monitor the exam centres, ensuring that no malpractices go unnoticed.

These security measures aim to create a stress-free, fair, and transparent exam environment for all students appearing for the SSC 2025 exams.

With the increased security measures, staff reshuffling, and legal assurances, the Maharashtra SSC 2025 exams are poised to set a new standard for fairness and integrity. Students are urged to focus on their preparation, knowing that the examination process will be conducted with the highest level of transparency and strict supervision.
