Students will be evaluated on the basis of their performance in the revision test held in Nov 2020 and the half-yearly exams in Feb 2021. The best of the two performances will be used to evaluate the students.
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) is likely to release the results for classes 9 and 11 by May 15, 2021. In view of the COVID pandemic, the Education Department has extended the date for the result declaration. It has also instructed the schools to upload the result related information on the Vimarsh portal by May 20, 2021.
The Classes 9 and 11 students will be evaluated on the basis of their performance in the revision test held in November 2020 and the half-yearly exams in February 2021. The best of the two performances will be used to evaluate the students.
Given below is the evaluation criteria decided by the state board to mark the students of classes 9 and 11:
MP Board 9th, 11th Result 2021: Evaluation Criteria
- The state has set out a detailed evaluation process for the students of classes 9 and 11 as final examinations could not be conducted due to the second wave of the pandemic. In effect, the students would be marked on the basis of their performance in the internal assessment conducted.
- For the result, the performance of the students in the revision test conducted from November 20 to November 28 and the Half Yearly exams conducted from February 1 to February 9 would be compared. The better of the two performances would be used to evaluate the student. In other others, if a student has scored better in the November exams, then those marks would be considered and vice versa.
- The result would then be calculated on the basis of the best 5 subjects. In case the student fails (not able to score 33% marks) in 1 out of 6 subjects, he would be declared pass.
- In case a student fails in more than 1 subject, he/she may be awarded grace marks. Students can be awarded up to 10 grace marks in 1 or more subject
- In case a student still fails after the grace marks in 2 or more subjects, he or she would be given another opportunity to appear for the exam in the said subject
- Also, in case a student has not appeared for the November or the February examination, he/she would also be given another opportunity to appear for the examination
Meanwhile, due to an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, the Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to postpone the MP Board Class 10 and MP Board Class 12 exams. The Classes 10 and 12 Madhya Pradesh Board exams were scheduled to be held from April 30 and May 1. The board is also considering alternative ways for Class 10 and Class 12 exams and will announce any decision with respect to conducting the Class 10, 12 board exams soon. Students who are to appear for the board examinations must keep checking the official MPBSE website for such updates.
