NIOS exam dates 2020: MHRD to release revised exam schedule for classes 10th, 12th

The Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) asked the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) to work on revised schedules for board examinations.

Amid lockdown across the country due to Coronavirus Outbreak till April 15, the HRD Ministry has directed the NIOS to work on releasing the revised schedule for the conduct of NIOS 10^th and NIOS 12^th examinations. In compliance of the order dated March 24, 2020 issued by MHA, all offices of MHRD and its autonomous institutions & subordinate offices shall remain closed for a period of 3 weeks. However, all officers and staff shall be working from home, a senior official said.

Earlier, the NIOS exams 2020 for Classes 10th, 12^th were scheduled to begin from March 24 and go on April 24, 2020, but were postponed later due to a rise in cases of COVID-19 affected people.

The exam dates will also be revised by CBSE for CBSE 10^th and CBSE 12^th exams 2020. Moreover, the NTA has also been directed to come out with a revised date. The schedule for many competitive exams like JEE, NEET will be revised and be conducted later so as to give class 12 students time for preparation.

Students are advised to stay at home and follow all the instructions released by the Ministry. They can utilize this time for preparation. They must solve as many NIOS question papers to get familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme followed in the exam. This will also let them know the difficulty level of papers and the type of questions asked in the exam.
