Tamil Nadu Class 10 exams for all except state board students to be held as per schedule

Tamilnadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswami had earlier announced that students of classes 9, 10, and 11 will be promoted to the next class without any examinations

Tamil Nadu state government decided to shut schools for students of classes 9, 10 and 11 from March 22 in view of the rising COVID19 cases. However, online and digital classes will continue to be held. The state had reopened schools for senior students in February 2021.

Despite schools being shut, the state will allow all boards except the Tamil Nadu State Board to conduct offline exams for class 10 students, as was planned earlier. The TN SSLC exams 2021 were earlier cancelled by the state CM due to the ongoing pandemic situation.

The decision was made based on the inputs from medical experts who suggested the situation is not conducive to conduct the SSLC and plus one exam, the Tamil Nadu CM had said.

Students preparing for the Class 10^th examinations must go through the complete syllabus and ensure that all the topics mentioned therewith are studied. It is also advised that they solve, practice and analyse previous years’ question papers to get familiar with the marking scheme, exam pattern and the type of questions asked in the exams.

Students should not forget to wear their face mask, carry hand-sanitizers and should maintain social distancing at all time for safety.
