Tamil Nadu government has decided to promote all students of TN SSLC, 9th and 11th to the next class without any examinations. This move comes in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic, announced Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.

The state will conduct examinations for TN 12th for which the timetable has been released by the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) Tamil Nadu. The exams will be conducted between May 3 and May 21.
Tamil Nadu schools reopened for TN SSLC and 12 on January 19, 2021. The Tamil Nadu Government earlier allowed hostels and residential facilities for students to reopen only for students who will be appearing in SSLC (Class 10) and Plus Two (Class 12) Board Exams 2021.
TN 12th exams 2021 will begin with a language paper on May 3 and end on May 21 with Chemistry, Accountancy, and Geography papers. The duration of the exam will be three hours. The timings of exams will be from 10 am to 01:15 pm. Students can click on TN 12th time table 2021 to download the detailed exam schedule. Students must begin with their revision and solve TN 12th question papers of previous years' to get familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme and the types of questions asked every year.
