The committee has been tasked with preparing a detailed report on slashing the syllabus for TN SSLC Exams 2021 and TN HSE +1 and TN HSE +2 Exams 2021 by end of the month.
With schools in the state being still closed due to the pandemic, the Tamil Nadu State Government is mulling to reduce the burden of the syllabus on the students by reducing it. As per the media reports, the State Education Minister is likely to submit a report on this to the Chief Minister, recommending slashing of the syllabus for TN 10th and TN 12th Public Exams 2021 by nearly 40 to 50 per cent.
With the Tamil Nadu Board Exams or Public Exams for Class 10 and Class 12 just a few months away, the state government has set up 18 member committee to look into the matter of reduction of the course curriculum and syllabus. The committee has been tasked with preparing a detailed report on slashing the syllabus for TN SSLC Exams 2021 and TN HSE +1 and TN HSE +2 Exams 2021 by end of the month.
After the submission of the report by the Expert Committee, the state government is expected to take a final decision on the reduction in the school syllabus and make the announcement regarding the same on or before December 5. This means that students will get to know if the exam syllabus for SSLC i.e. Class 10 and HSE +1 and HSE +2 Exams is reduced or not by this week itself.
The state government has also dismissed the reports on conducting half-yearly examinations online owing to rising COVID-19 cases in the state. Meanwhile. the Tamil Nadu government has announced its decision to reopen colleges for final year students from December 7, 2020. No reopening dates for schools in Tamil Nadu, however, have been announced.
