200 Jawans are participating in the third edition of Udaipur Runs. The event will take place at Fateh Sagar Lake on January 12 at 6 am.

IIM Udaipur is all set to organize its third edition of ‘Udaipur Runs’ at Fateh Sagar Lake on January 12 at 6 am. The theme of Udaipur Runs 3.0 is ‘Run with the Jawans’ as 200 Jawans are participating in the event. The run is divided into categories under the stretch of 3.5 km, 6 km, and 8.2 km. The run will include a warmup session followed by refreshments for the participants.

Around 2,000 people turned up for the last edition of Udaipur Runs and more than 1,200 people participated in the run encompassing IIMU’s students. With this humungous turnout, Udaipur Runs became the second-largest run of Udaipur in just two years.

IIM Udaipur, Director, Professor Janat Shah along with representatives from Pryotech and Secure Meters supporting the event will flag off the run. The run is the pre-event for Utkrisht’20 that will take place from January 18 to January 19. IIM Udaipur organises Utkrisht as the annual sports fest in January to develop the IIMU community and inculcate sports culture. Professor Janat Shah believes that participation of youth in the run is the reason behind Udaipur Runs’ exponential growth. He also added that the social causes associated with the event itself reflect the core values of the institution.

The last two editions of Udaipur Runs were organised for the cause of cancer awareness and education of the girl child.
