Delhi Technological University ‘Lab On Wheels’ to be launched in April for school students
On April 6, 2021, Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia will be launching the DTU Lab on Wheels bus.
DTU Lab on Wheels: Delhi Technological University (DTU) is all set to launch a ‘lab on wheels’ for the students studying in Delhi schools. Reports suggest that the project has been introduced to educate and make the students residing in rural areas literate. The vehicle hosts 17 computer systems, 2 television sets, one 3D printer, air conditioner, surveillance cameras, and printer. On April 6, 2021, Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia will be launching the bus.
According to the official plan, the project mobile lab will be taken to several Delhi schools in order to allow its students and teachers to benefit from its facilities. It will also be taken to educational institutes and other places which are associated with imparting education to the students. Talking about the launched project, DTU Vice-Chancellor Professor Yogesh Singh said that the University is launching 'Lab on Wheels-Delhi Technical University to serve humanity, under 'Digital Village-Literate India'.
A team of students from DTU will also volunteer to provide tutorials, study tours and lectures to other students. They will be assisting the underprivileged students residing across Delhi to get access to education and related services.
With a vision to improve the status of school education along with higher education, the Delhi Technological University will be collaborating with the state government. Earlier, DTU had tied-up with Samsung India to set up a Samsung Innovation Lab that will focus on collaborative research and training.
