As an institutional social responsibility initiative amid the ongoing pandemic situation, IIM Indore took the decision of distributing lunch packets to needy people.

As an institutional social responsibility initiative amid the ongoing pandemic situation, IIM Indore took the decision of distributing lunch packets to needy people.

Indian Institute of Management, Indore is all set to distribute 200 lunch and dinner to the patients in hospital and police personnel in the state. As an institutional social responsibility initiative amid the ongoing pandemic situation, IIM Indore took the decision of distributing lunch packets to needy people. As per the ISR, the Indian Institute of Management Indore will distribute 200 lunch and 200 dinner packets every day to the patients in nearby hospitals and the police personals in the nearby police station of the area.

Talking about the initiative, llM Indore director professor Himanshu Rai said, "We at IIM Indore always strive to make a positive impact on the society in general and we have now embarked on a mission of reaching out to the sick and needy. In these times the hospitals are full and patients cannot meet their family members. Hence, to ensure that they receive nutritious meals coma we will provide food packets to all the patients undergoing treatment in nearby hospitals we will also be providing peg means to the police personnel in the police station in our neighborhood as a small gesture of gratitude."

Meanwhile an alumni group of 15 participants from the five-year integrated program in management  (IPM) IIM Indore commenced 'Need plasma' initiative. With this need plasma initiative, the group helps more than 525 patients to match their plasma donors with a volunteer base that is the strength of almost 500 people.

Palak Agrawal an integrated program management student of IIM Indore informed that they have received more than 8000 requests particularly to find donors for the patients of COVID in critical need. She further added, "The number of donors is steadily been on the rise but the number of requests Talav numbers the number of donors by a margin there are a lot of your concerns when it comes to donating plasma among the people and also a certain set of conditions like heart-lung kidney diseases pregnancy expected to make potential donors ineligible which brings the number of actual donors for the down.”
